She is an orphan living with an extremely poor grandmother. Her mother remarried and now she is living with the new husband and a new child, and Darat is left to take care of herself and her ailing grandparents.
Once again, logic would dictate us to put her on the waiting list (most of all because next year she shall be going to Khon Kaen Univeristy), but I really don’t feel like I can “kill” that beautiful smile and this young girl’s dream. So, once again, we took a leap of faith and we added her in our program…would someone like to give us a hand?
AFTER LONG DELIBERATION, I HAVE DECIDED NOT TO PUBLISH ANYMORE PHOTOS OF THE CHILDREN WITHIN OUR SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM. SINCE WE LAUNCHED THE WEBSITE I HAVE BEEN WONDERING IF IT WAS RIGHT OR WRONG TO POST THE CHILDREN’S PHOTOS. INITIALLY, I WAS AFRAID IT WOULD SEEM LIKE SOME SORT OF “CATALOGUE” FOR SELECTING A CHILD. SO, I HAVE FINALLY MADE THE UNILATERAL DECISION TO NO LONGER MAKE USE OF THESE PHOTOS. FROM NOW ON, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO READ THEIR STORIES, BUT OUT OF RESPECT FOR THEM, WE WON’T POST ANYMORE PHOTOS. PLEASE HELP US TO HELP THEM! |
