This year’s harvest is over and our farmers’ work is completed.  It seems that the rice quality is good, but its quantity is less than last year, largely due to the heavy October rains which damaged the cultivation.

Sainam, as usual, bought the rice from our Co-op farmers, and these are the numbers we have at the moment:

Kg of rice purchased:           62.830

Amount paid in Thai Bahts:  816.790

Amount paid in €uros:          17.720

The rice is now stored in our Saangk Kaaw (the Rice Storehouse), while we wait to sell it to the wholesalers, hoping to get a good price.
