This one is over! We have finished the Baan Soondek, which means the MOO BAAN/ARCO VILLAGE project has now officially ended. 

On Monday December 14^th, we inaugurated the last building, the Baan Soondek, which will be the permanent seat of our Soondek Sainam Project.  This house will not only be used for our “deknoi,” but will also be our Youth Meeting Center.  Our plan, when we have enough money, is to furnish it with some musical instruments, a TV set, and a ping pong table.  The site will also be used as a general meeting center for Sainam.

We also plan, of course only when money will be available, to prepare a small game park for the Soondek children and a nice garden for the whole Moo Baan.  However, as it is not our priority at the moment it will have to wait until we will find a sponsor for this project.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank FONDAZIONE UMANITARIA ARCOBALENO, Lugano, Switzerland and its sponsors (a group of Swiss Businessmen) who have allowed five families to have proper shelter, to be members of a community, and to have their children looked after.  I would like to thank them for having given us the opportunity to build a nice House for our Day Care Center.  I would also like to thank the sponsor of the Soondek Sainam Project, THE HERROD FOUNDATION, Montreux, Switzerland for their help and support.

While this is a time for celebration, the work at the MOO BAAN is not over, as we still have to look after and to follow these five families while they, hopefully, march towards progress and development!

Because this is the only goal of this project, the house shall only be a stepping stone for these families towards development and progress.
