WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM OUR FRIENDS

It was a difficult job indeed, and we honestly received more than a little help from our big-hearted friends.  Some are in Switzerland, some in Italy (SAINAM ITALY ONLUS), and others are scattered around the world, but together we did it! The CARE PROJECT will still be going on, and will continue to help at total of 50 families, at least for the first half of this year.

We would like to thank you all!  Everyone who worked to spread this humble newsletter to others, creating new contacts, all helped contribute. This is the spirit of what we do.  I love when common people, like you and me, join together and help each other…just as you are now helping the people of E-sarn!  It is truly a powerful thing! And I feel so proud (sorry Buddha) of the small, but extremely motivated family, that we are building.  The Kropkrua Sainam!

We really had a few rough weeks, and a lot of emails were sent from this address, but our “cry for help” reached some really wonderful people who decided to help us.  People who clearly believe in the work we are doing, and who clearly trust us.  We are extremely happy, not for us here at Sainam, but for these 50 families who were depending on us for their very livelihood.  It will be the greatest of pleasures to tell them that they will be able to count on us, even if, so far, just for the first six months of this year.

This also means that we will be able to help Yai Khun's family, which just asked us for help.  Yai Khun is a widowed lady in Ban Yang Noi, who is responsible for about three grandchildren who have been abandoned by their parents.  As of now, they have no home of their own, no land to cultivate, and they often have to go to the forest or the ponds in search of food to eat.  Thanks to the Kropkrua family, we can now guarantee them some support, which really is vital for them.

So, in the traditional Thai way, I bend my head, with my hands united, and I humbly say thank you to all our friends in the “Kropkrua Sainam” (Sainam Family).  Thank you to our old friends, and the new friends that we met in this “emergency period.” Once again, there is a lesson in all of this: as in life, sometimes what seems to be a “disaster,” could turn out to be exactly the opposite.  Believe it or not, we did it!  Thank you, thank you, and thank you! Khap Khun mak Khap took kon!
