Recently we experienced many events that helped us to see how the Gandhi Co-operative role is actually much wider than we expected when it all started.  Many of our farmers came and asked us to lend back their rice … simply because they did not have enough to eat. So, on Saturday June 26^th, we opened our Storehouse’s gate and lent them back the rice.

After that they went directly to the Rice Mill to have it refined.  By the next harvest they will give us back the rice they took home to feed their families, of course without any interest or extra burdens. We are proud of the role of the Co-op for our people. It is really making their life easier, and they are aware that they can always count on us.

Now, with the arrival of the Rice Cutting Machine, things can only improve for them. Thanks to everyone who helped us to “build” such an effective Co-op! We are very happy to serve them!
